Summary:
In the Smart Grid context, the evaluation of benefits brought by the technology to different stakeholders is very important and may depend on issues such as the country and the associated regulation. Nowadays, there are well-established methodologies to evaluate the energy savings. However, such methodologies cannot ensure a comprehensive evaluation of all energy-related impacts. This paper is focused on evaluation methodologies and regulatory issues in Smart Grid projects with local generation-consumption matching, taking the ENERsip project as reference.

Keywords: Demand Response; Energy Efficiency; Evaluation of Savings; Generation and Consumption Matching; Local Generation; Smart Grids.
